Unity is Girlguiding Staffordshire’s international camp which takes place every four years. I took on the volunteer role of Media and Communications Team Lead. For this role I lead a team of 5 volunteers who were responsible for all design and marketing outputs from inception to execution. Myself and my team’s key responsibilities were building a new brand and guidelines, ensuring brand consistency throughout, creating promotional material (both digital and print), social media content, website production and maintenance, email communications and on site assets such as signage and handbooks.

During the weeklong camp, my team and I gathered high-quality photos and videos which serve as an important memento for the participants as well as a promotional asset library for the next camp. One of my team had joined us to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Residential and had no experience with such an event. I was able to inspire and guide them and my whole team through the whole process before the event and during which was a real pleasure to see their skills grow over the two years.
