Discovery 2022, Solihull Scout County Camp

Discovery 2022 was Solihull Scout County Camp, bringing all sections together for one weekend. For the camp, I was in charge of all media and design content, which ranged from camp branding to video and photo production on camp. Unfortunately, The camp was held on the weekend before The Queen's Funeral, as such, we chose to still continue with the camp, but altered the program with respect to the Queen’s passing. when people questioned why we didn’t abandon the camp out of respect we answer with 2 things. Firstly Queen Elizabeth was the patron of Scouts and we believe she would rather we carried on than stop. Secondly, these young people have had a very difficult few years and as such, this was for many their first camp since the pandemic. I know from speaking to the young people as they left that they had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back!
